Kathy has been my Massage Therapist since 1997. When I first met Kathy I was having extreme pain, due to degenerated disks. It was my hope to avoid eventual surgery and I can say that with her help and dedication, surgery was never necessary. She is always willing to read and study a particular problem and come up with the best way to help her clients. I believe that regular massage therapy is a very important part of my health care. I went to see Kathy, the proprietor of Excellence in Touch, on the recommendation of a friend who had raved about her. I left similarly impressed! It's easy to get a bad massage in Austin; if you don't know the difference between a good massage and a bad one, you should visit Kathy, to see what a real therapeutic massage is supposed to be like!
Kathy has a great personality - she is very warm and affable, and whereas it can be a little nerve-wracking to see someone for the first time, Kathy is very disarming and sweet. I felt at ease within the first few moments. She is very knowledgeable and intuitive, and she is comfortable and confident in her practice. She worked out a knot in my shoulder that had been there for years, without me directing her to it!
I saw Kathy for a combination of Swedish relaxation massage and Reiki. I left feeling like a million bucks. Her rates are extremely reasonable given her experience and abilities, and her office is conveniently located off of MoPac, near Zilker Park. Getting there is a breeze from most parts of the city. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for therapeutic massage or Reiki/energy work. I will certainly be returning myself! Phillip B.

I went to Kathy with a pretty bad lower back problem and a healthy amount of skepticism. I've had massage therapists do work on me before and though it always feels good, there was never any lasting or curative results. But the body work that Kathy does seemed different. She pointed out on a chart where my problem might be which wasn't even on my back. She worked on it and immediately my back felt better. Now days later, my back is pretty much back to normal. I didn't even need a follow-up visit, though I'll definitely go back. Amazing. Don B
I found Kathy at Excellence in Touch through a friend of mine. I was having severe headaches because of extreme tightness in my neck and shoulders (busy schedule, stress, etc). Kathy was able to get those headaches under control and get me to a point that I just feel better overall. I am sometimes tempted to cancel because "I am too busy to go"...those are the times I need it most. I go, and am always glad that I have made that choice. It really does make a difference. For a year I suffered with tendonitis from working on the computer, which was mandatory for my job. My doctor and I worked together on so many different ways to treat it, wrist bands, wrist braces, cortisone; nothing worked! Finally she suggested deep tissue massage therapy. I began going to Kathy Casey once a month. Kathy spent extra time on my wrists, arms and shoulders. In several weeks, the pain began to go away. I still use my computer almost every day and the pain is gone: as long as I continue with the deep tissue massage therapy once a month. It is SO worth it; and best of all, no side effects from cortisone and other medications. The only side effect, which is wonderful to have, is relaxation. I do not write many reviews nor do I give praise when it is not due. I do have to say though that Excellence In Touch deserves it. I've been a client there for several years for massage and reiki. Kathy, the owner I believe, is very skilled in both and I always feel so much more at peace and relaxed after I've been there. I am also a clean freak, so that stuff really matters to me and I've always been happy that the office is clean and comfortable. I have a high stress job, so going there is not only a treat, its something that is really important to me and my health and I would recommend her business to anyone without reservation. Tom B.

She has a very intuitive touch - her hands possess the ability to find the source of pain without any verbalized direction from the client. She works deeply and produces results. I get off the table feeling like a new person. She is also an excellent Reiki practitioner. Having tried many types of energy therapy, I highly recommend Kathy's work. Blaire S.
